 About Glycerin Soap:

Some people avoid bar soap because it can leave their skin feeling dry but Glycerin handmade soap can be very moisturising. Glycerin is a humectant that can be naturally derived from plant oils. As a humectant, Glycerin works to moisturise the skin by drawing water from the air into the skin's outer layer. Glycerin soap is gentler on skin than most soaps, making it a good choice for people who have particularly dry or sensitive skin. According to some studies, Glycerin soap also has a lower pH than other soaps, which helps the skin retain its natural moisture.

Glycerin soaps are recognisably different from other soaps because they are translucent. The clarity is due to the alignment of the soap molecules.

Cheap soap that is readily available in supermarkets is often loaded with harsh, synthetic chemicals such as sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS). Manufacturers also often remove the beneficial Glycerin that is formed during the saponification process to sell separately.

Activated Charcoal:

Activated charcoal draws bacteria, poisons, chemicals, dirt and other toxins and micro-particles to the surface of skin, helping you to achieve a flawless complexion and fight acne. Charcoal is not metabolised or absorbed by the body, yet it is a natural odour absorber.

Pink Clay:

Ingredients: Kaolin, Quartz, CI 77491

Pastel Pink Australian Clay is perfect for balancing dry, stressed and sensitive skin. It may reduce irritation and inflammation from aggravating skin conditions such as acne. Pink Clay is rich in Silica, which may help to improve skin elasticity and cell renewal for supple, younger looking skin. Its hydrating properties help to refine delicate lines, moisturise and improve the overall texture of the skin.

What is SLS:

Sodium Lauryl Sulphate strips natural oils from the skin, leaving it feeling dry and itchy. It can cause an inflammatory reaction in some people, resulting in a rash. Arkara Glycerine soap is very different as it contains a high amount of Gylcerin. This leaves your skin feeling soft and clean without feeling greasy.  It is suitable for oily, dry and normal skin types.

Arkara glycerin soap does NOT contain SLS, sodium laureth sulphate (SLES), phthalates or parabens. It is not tested on animals. It is vegan, soy free, gluten free & peanut free, and it is handcrafted in Australia from high quality ingredients.
